Welcome to the new Truth & Good Food… Not much has changed except the official dotcom web address. Much like my original Tumblr page, I’ll still be bringing you tasty recipes and loads of “truths.” This is my virtual dinner table, nothing is off topic. Thank you for reading and for the support! Below are some answers to questions I’ve gotten since launching my new site…

Will you still be updating your Tumblr? — Of course! It’s the original Truth & Good Food and it holds a special place in my heart. I love my Tumblr family and followers. My Tumblr page is here to stay going no where!  I’ve transferred some of the more popular Tumblr posts onto this site, but there is still come content that didn’t make it over. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed. However, proceed with caution… your stomach is sure to stir with hunger!

When will you post new recipes? — Very soon! Tonight in fact. I have LOADS of recipes that I haven’t posted. I’ll post them throughout the week.

Posts to look forward to? I have my popular Cuban recipe Ropa Vieja coming soon, as well as Pollo Guisado, Pernil, Pastelitos, Sofrito, Mango Habanero Hot Sauce, Tuna Summer Salad, Egg Plant Parmesan, and many more just to name a few. It’s going to Latin Quarter Central here for a week as I post everyone’s favorite Latin cuisine recipes. Make sure to tune in.

Any other opinion pieces? — Are you kidding me? These are never far behind. I’ve been working on a courtship essay for a while. I can’t wait to unload that one on you!

Who taught you how to cook?– I am grandma trained and certified! My grandmother definitely was the main person who taught me how to cook. She taught me the importance of marinades and seasonings– taught me the old school way. Hence, the reason you will always find me grinding my spices and making my marinades from scratch. Is it more work? Definitely, but would I have it any other way? Absolutely not. I love to cook; it’s all part of the process.

Also, I don’t mention this enough but my father is also a major teacher of mine. He’s a butcher and taught me everything I need to know and then some about meats. Meat, meat, meat galore! He still imparts his wisdom on me. He’s been doing it for over 30 years, the man knows a thing or two. Blog posts on his tips and tricks are also something else coming soon and something to keep an eye out!

Anything new to expect that we haven’t already seen on your Tumblr? — To be honest, it’s going to be pretty much the same. My posts will be diversified. I’ll still be delivering recipes, tips, & opinion pieces, but even the spin I’ll take on those will be different. I’m 23 (not for much longer), living and working in NYC, and I’m still learning and growing– you’ll be on this journey. Especially my endless get-fit or die trying journey!

Thank you again for reading and the support! Stay tuned, new content coming soon!
